johnnie52
I've been an active woodworking hobbist for several years and recently expanded into scroll sawing. I have been lurking here for a couple of weeks but haven't posted anything as I was waiting for the forum changes to be set in place. I joined the forum to learn how to actually do this scroll saw thing. I have followed all the lessons on making patterns and am investigating both Gimp and Inkscape to develop patterns for my own use. Of course if I post a finished project and someone likes it I'll share. Just to prove that I'm serious, here is a photo of a piece I recently finished. Its made entirely from scraps I had out in my shed and the fret pattern is something I dreamed up using Autocad. Please forgive the "noob" scroll work. This is only the second piece I've ever tried to make. Please forgive me for not posting sooner. I'm always somewhat shy about jumping into something until I understand a little about what is going on.
