Clear Coat

Hello,

I am getting ready to make some toys that have decals.I am wanting to put a clear coat over them to make them last. The paint I will use is oil base enamel. So what do you think? If I put a clear coat in and my grandson tears a sticker off it will have a blemish. Thanks for the input. Kardar2

I use KRYLON triple-thick crystal Clear Glaze/0500 it comes in a spray can. It is a bright, glass-like coating. When you spray one coat on it, it is like your spraying three coats by just useing one coat of it. I get it at walmart for $3.85 per can. I dont know if that is what your looking for. hope it helps you some.

I also use the triple thick clear glaze from Walmart. I like it but have trouble getting enough. They keep running out of it. It is actualy a spray lacquer although it does not say that on the can. The smell gives it away. I have done decoupage on wood using brush on lacquer. In Fact I print out my own images to apply. I print them on tissue paper and then apply with lacquer. That is how I did these.
