ubgoofy2003
I haven't sold a lot of items as yet, but, my larger pieces, I sign with my woodburner. Sometimes on the back of a frame, I will put the date & maybe the wood used. Something else I do is, carbon copy the font onto the wood & then just follow the lines with the woodburner. It is a little more precise & definate when finished. Good Luck
jack fish
Hey all, I found this! Pretty cool. Resizing to meet your project size is one good possibility. http://jayscustomcreations.com/2013/12/inexpensively-brand-your-woodworking/ Jack Edited March 9, 2014 by jack fish amazingkevin

trailfndr
I make a label for the back of all my intarsia. It has the pattern name, Designer, Date, and a list of woods used, along with a copy of my business card. I use spray adhesive along with the sticky stuff on the label, and then smooth it well. Spray poly over it to build a couple coats so that the edges don't come up and peel. It has worked pretty well, but I really like the printer idea, and WILL be trying it soon. MrsN
I sign the front of fretwork with pencil, and the back with a sharpie. I also sign the back of a frame with a sharpie if I frame the piece. Most other things are signed with a sharpie or pencil in an out of the way spot. I haven't figured out a good way to sign jewelry, so that just leaves my shop attached to a business card.
