Popular Post Charlie E Posted Sunday at 09:40 PM Popular Post Report Posted Sunday at 09:40 PM I’ve never done one of these as all I’d seen was a few celebrities and it didn’t seem worth the effort. I found a site called Spiral Betty where you can make your own patterns with lots of adjustments you can make like, orientation of lines, number of lines, contrast, etc. It didn’t turn out exactly as I’d envisioned but I’m thinking my granddaughter will like it. Very tedious work with a so-so outcome. But I think she'll like it hanging in her room. Her 8th birthday is in a couple of weeks. barb.j.enders 1 Quote

I had more fun playing with the program than the cutting. I stack cut three and only the top one was usable. I used some 1/4” oak plywood that I had on hand which was not a good choice. The grain ruined the shadow effects of the cut lines so I had to put several coats of paint to hide the grain. It was a learning opportunity, just not sure I want to do it again to use what I learned. Quote
