Popular Post don in brooklin on Posted April 11 Popular Post Report Posted April 11 For my wife's birthday, I went to Hallmark to buy a card. A cute card that pops up (her fav) was nearly $8 + tax CAD or $6 US The regular cards that are supposed to be funny but not at all were $5 -$6. So the cheapo in me said I can make a card. Done it before and she seemed to like them. So I then spent probably 3 hours or more designing, cutting and painting. Return is about $2 per hour. Not bad for an old retired guy. LOL She liked it anyways. Size is 5 x 8 to fit envelope PS: The heart and maple leaf matched the sweat shirt I had stitched. artisanpirate, ScrollerGuy, jollyred and 9 others 12 Quote

heppnerguy Posted April 11 Report Posted April 11 This is a card worth keeping. I purchased ones go in the garbage in a couple of days./ Great idea. Not cheap, just more creative and meaningful Dick heppnerguy MarieC and wombatie 2 Quote

ChelCass Posted Monday at 11:46 AM Report Posted Monday at 11:46 AM Oh Golly I go to Dollar Tree and get one for a 1.25. I never could bring myself to pay for those overpriced Hallmark cards. Quote
barb.j.enders Posted Monday at 12:47 PM Report Posted Monday at 12:47 PM Great card Don. RJ - love that idea. I just sent my uncle a card for his 95th birthday, it was $11 with tax. Then another $2 to mail it to him. Quote
TAIrving Posted Monday at 01:45 PM Report Posted Monday at 01:45 PM Here is one I did for my lady a few years ago as a tag for her birthday present. $2/hour seems about right. Quote
rdatelle Posted Wednesday at 06:10 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 06:10 PM I like it to Don. You did good. Happy Birthday to your wife. Quote
