realfEZ
Hello! This is my today's cutting. I have used bicast leather (see bottom frame texture) All other material is HDF hardboard (3 layers : one for thickenning/cutting the leather layer, one for the backer (painted with spray paint), last for the back). Thanks for your interest Creations by Cody and Travis

DWSUDEKUM
Excellent work. I have never tried to scroll leather before... did you sandwich it when you cut it? DW realfEZ

realfEZ
Thanks to all for the comments! No Marg, it is actually easier than wood and so much that I had to sanwich it with hardboard ( to answer DW's question). It is a material I do recommend, noble and fun to cut... See you soon wombatie

amazingkevin
Ah you let the cat out of the bag as to the secret of cutting the leather ,THANKS.Beautyfull work! realfEZ
realfEZ
Yeah Kevin and there is more... Because the leather I have worked on for this project was only approx. 1.5 mm thick, I had to glue the leather on hardboard the get rigidity leather lacks. Plus another layer of hardboard on the top to stick the pattern on. Finally I have used additional nails in offcuts-to-be areas. See picture. All this to avoid leather from fraying... Of course no need to nail nor glue with thicker leathers (3mm+ thick...) Edited June 13, 2017 by realfEZ Travis and wombatie
