Looking at ether a dewalt 788 or 19 inch excalibur when they become available again if worth the wait.

Been looking at and have had contact with Mike ref to the flying dutchman blades.

Any input, direction is appreciated.

Located north of Tulsa, OK.

Welcome to the scrolling world.

As far as a machine is concerned buy the best you can afford. I have an Excalibur 21 and love it.

I use a Dewalt at the club and it is okay too.

Join as many forums as you can and just browse too see what you like to do best. There are lots of variety in the projects you can tackle from Intarsia, fretwork, compound cuts, toys, puzzles, portraits etc.

There a number of videos to teach the basics but you can really gets some good ideas. Check out Steve Good and Shelia Landy's blog.

Good luck

You'll be amazed at the intricacy and detail you can accomplich with any scroll saw low price or expensive.Same as a rools royce and a v,w, they both get you there but extra feature is allways nice and creature comforts.Dive on in make some saw dust and fire wood project to start,it's not that hard .beautyful quality projects are going to come on your first try ,trust me.Welcome to the club and check in to the forum for plenty of answers to questions you may have.
