I am a sitter- I have my DeWalt attached to an old desk I got from work. It is bolted down and  I have a small block from a 4x4 post that elevates the back end to tilt it towards me.

I have an old office chair with wheels, Jewelers visor/with reading glasses ( To see my work close-up).

I also have a "Deadman Pedal" to free my hands, Plenty of light above.

The desk drawers holds all my patterns that I have collected, tools, sand paper, cleaner, etc...

The keyboard slide table holds Measuring tools, pre-made angles for bevel cutting, and small needle nose pliers and such.

The table top holds all my pre-cut portrait blanks, glues, blades, small drill for holes I missed at the drill press. chargers,

And Most Important-

   MY RADIO FOR MUSIC!

Dude, you sound organized.  :o I'm a sitter, too. My Delta is on a stand and I have a stool that I sit on. I have a magnifying lamp hooked to a shelf nearby. My blades are in blade holders on the side of the saw stand. Everything else is on my workbench. I also have a box fan and filter next to the saw.

Paul that is way toooooooooo clean. :)   I sit I have 2 high bar stools one at my DeWalt and one at my Ex21 but sometimes I have to stand if the piece I am working on is on the larger side.  Its terrible when you are only 5'1" and have short arms to match. :) :)

My things are scattered on a couple of benches and my blades are in containers hooked onto a peg board.

I sit at the saw, use a deadman switch and of course need music!  I use a couple of MP3 players through headphones.  I currently have my blades just in a drawer in the workbench, but I think I will shamelessly "borrow" an idea or two for blade storage on the saw.  Thanks for the ideas!

That depends on which saw i am using at the time; and the size of the project! Bigger projects seem to demand being done standing.

I use a drafting stool for the sitting jobs.(Salvation Army-- senoir discount special $3.60)  My DeWalt 788 came with a stand and a poor light. I use the stand-- replaced the light with a spring arm one mounted by holes so it is very movable on the platform I made under the saw.

My Grizzley has a temporary home on the bench; will soon be in the RV and move from picnic table to picnic table, etc. I might take a workmate along, not sure yet.  Use standing only so far, because of bench height and "clutter"!

My 60 yeaar old Craftsman only comes out for thin projects and kid use! tThen it is placed on a H-F "workmate". It get used from a cushion on a pull type plastic toolbox.

They are the biggest bargain I have ever had. They were under $15 each and I have abused the blazes out of them. I ended up making a new top for one of my 2. I just used 3/4 plywood scraps and it works well. Drilled it and used the original dogs also.
