Tribal Kitty and Ribbon Box

[DWSUDEKUM]

This is a rendition of that tribal cat pattern.  Cut from ¼ BB ply with a 1/8 BB Ply backing.  Sealed with tung oil then top coated with semi gloss lacquer.

This box is cut from pine.  The ribbon is ¼ in cedar on the outside and ¾ appleply on the inside.  The dimensions are 6 inches long x 4 ½ inches wide x 2 ¼ inches tall.  The box is 1 ½ inches deep.  The ribbon is 1 1/8 inches wide.  I finished it with several coats of tung oil.

very nice work.. your wood selection made the box ribbon exceptionally nice. I think I will also do the cat. For some reason it did not appeal to  me but seeing your project completed, makes me desire to cut it too. thanks for posting it...
