Cosmo
Hi, I'm thinking about buying a new scroll saw. Dewalt DW788 20" If anyone has any comments or reviews , that would be great. Cosmo
Firedkm
Cosmo, I feel this is one of the best saws out there on the market. This is a mid-price saw and for the money you get a very well built machine. I use to have an old cheapie Sears model. When I upgraded to the Dewalt I swear my cuttings got better. Travis
I think you made a good choice. I don't own one myself, but it will be my next saw I purchase. I have yet to come across a negative comment about the saw. It really is a top notch machine. There are other saws that are quite a bit more expensive that may perform a bit better, but for the price, you couldn't get any better than a DeWalt. I think you'll be thrilled with the purchase. Good choice!
blame
... I have yet to come across a negative comment about the saw.... i bought the dewalt back in nov of last year. i love the saw compared to other saws i've used but i do have one dislike and thats how the table is mounted it leaves a bit of movement in the saw but really doesnt effect cutting unless using the tilt feature. bonacker
I started with a Dewalt 788. Some play in the table adjustment, but a great saw for the price. Recently upgraded to the Excalibur 21 which eliminates the need to angle the table. If you want to do inlay work, or any kind of bevelling, then the Excalibur is the way to go. But It's a lot more expensive than the Dewalt.
