I have been a member here for a while but not very active on this forum (I have been busy on other scrolling forums) I don't think I have ever introduced myself here.

I am Katie, from Minnesota. I teach woodshop classes to middle school and high school kids in a small town in western Wisconsin. I have been scrolling for about 5 years and have done a lot of projects, my favorite type of projects are portraits and jewelry, I also like making toys and bowls and christmas ornaments and other wall hanging things and pretty much anything else. the only thing I haven't tried is intarsia, one of these days I will give it a try.

I recently got an excalibur 21", so far I love it! I also have a 14" single speed hegnar and a 16" hitachi (my baby, my first saw).

Well this is a first to see a shop with curtains ,flowers ,lol just teaseing you,Your doing a great job teaching wood shop to the younger generation .sounds like you've coverd all bases scrolling.Once you start doing intarsias your opening up another world ,financialy too.the beauty of intarsia is something special.I've hated to sell all I've made but you got to do what you got to do .I traded my practice pieces for a dw788 if that's saying anything and wore it out .the club loves to see pictures of our members work so load us up! nice shop you have too!

Hi Katie,  I was on Free4all only a short time before it closed. I met you there and commented on your woodshop teaching role. You do nice work, have an obvious nice mannerism and I too want to welcome you here and hope you find this as your home and family. we all like to share, compare and with Sully on board too, you know you will be snickering a lot too, while you are here. Glad to have you on board.
