Huntter2022
ScrollZilla/Rick , over at Free4All taught me this . You have a pattern and want to know how many cuts But to lazy to sit there and count them all . Import pattern into InkScape. Click the pattern and trace it. Then hit Shift and Ctrl, and the letter K. At the bottom of the screen, shows how many cuts. Inkscape is a free program; http://inkscape.org/ Edited June 25, 2013 by Huntter2022 sullyscroller

Fab4
Hi Hunter2022 To trace the pattern, I go to Path, then Trace Bitmap Then I hit Shift, Ctrl and the letter K At the bottom it will show "a number" objects of type path This is the number of cuts to the pattern? Is that right? Thanks for the info Fab4

MrsN
I just went through some of the patterns that I have cut to see how many cuts they have, this trick is fascinating. I don't usually count as I go so I really had no idea how many cuts I was making. I average way more cuts per pattern then I would have thought. Thanks again for sharing this tip, I love it!
