DonR Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 This is the Cumberland County Courthouse in Crossville, TN. Just completed it today and will frame it tomorrow. This cutting will be a door prize next week at a picnic along with my cuttings of the Byrds Creek Dam. This one was a bit of a struggle with a few mistakes and a few changes on the fly but overall I am reasonably satisfied with the results. Stack cut three of them 1/8 inch BB, 240 or so cuts, stained Golden Oak. This one will have a black backer. Don R lawson56 and penquin 2 Quote
heppnerguy Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 Our court house was built in 1902 and it looks like it could have the same architect. I am going to try some buildings too. I will need to study some of the ones that others have done so I can get the hang of it. Nice job. I donated an intarsia item for a fund raiser for hospice. Thank you for giving your community a helping hand. We all need to step up to the plate once in awhile Quote

DonR Posted July 17, 2013 Author Report Posted July 17, 2013 Thanks folks for the kind words! It is appreciated. Kevin, I used FD Spirals with flat ends Sizes #1 and #3. My Craftsman is now semi-retired and I used my Delta saw for this one Marg, Yes there were a few breath holding, heart stopping moments but luckily I managed to work through them without breakouts. I think my pacemaker got a workout cutting it. Thanks again everyone! Don R Quote
