multitom Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 Inspired by Barb(Out of the Woodwork) beautiful ,artistic routed signs. Free hand routed with a V bit( not much familiar with these) used a colored felt pen , this is really a newbie sign and tons of mistakes . All comments are welcome. Thanks for looking. Fab4 1 Quote
frankorona Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 Very good job, hand cut with router, is actually very complicated, need a lot of experience. To be your first job, is wonderful. Quote
bobscroll Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 I agree with Frank, For your first go at it I think you did well, Thank you for showing Mahendra, Bob Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 Nice first go Mahendra as Barb said previously no so deep and then you might find it easier to flow and not dig in. I usually use a template on my routed signs. but you could be as good as this guy in the video. Roly Quote

Roly Thank you ,Frank,Bob and Roly- the depth was not so deep,I think the uneven surface was the cause ,great video ,yes! Someday I wish I can reach a small percentage to what speed ,acuracy and ease as he does( wishful thinking):-) It comes back to what Don Rob said Practice, practice and some more practice . Thanks Roly. Phantom Scroller 1 Quote

keefie Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 Mahendra, for a first attempt at routing freehand that's brilliant. It's like your pattern making, it will improve with practise, your patterns are now excellent so I'm looking forward to seeing more signs soon. Keefie. Quote
DonR Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 Stay with it Mahendra, with your perseverance you will knock it very soon, then you can teach me! Don R Quote

Clayton717 Posted July 26, 2013 Report Posted July 26, 2013 for being your first one I think it looks great. Free handing with a router takes some practice. That how I do mine as well. Personally I like it better than templates, many more options to the style (fonts) and sizes of the letters. Stay with it. Quote
