How Long Have You Been Scrolling?

I'm curious about how long folks have been scrolling.  I thought it would be fun to see who our most senior (or is that experienced?) scroller here.

 

So, h'bout it?  How long have you been scrolling?  I'm not talking about how long you've had a scroll saw sitting in the corner gathering dust.  But rather actual scrolling where you're using your scroll saw as a primary tool for making stuff.

I've been scrolling since 2008.  So I guess that would make 5 years for me.

if my memory serves and as I age I find it serves less and less but since 1995 so 18 years

the bug first bit me about 20+ years ago when my brother in law lent me his old saw. but scrolling seriously making and selling things since 1999 so 14 years

I have been Scrolling for 8 yrs.Started out with an Old Craftsman that didn't have a blower.Didn't take too long for me to move up to a new one.lol

I bought my first scrolling jig saw at a garage sale in 1974 and started making Christmas ornaments of my own design every year that were dated and I sent them instead of cards.  Didn't have the internet and sure couldn't find any patterns back then.  Guess that makes 39 yrs or the same as my age for me. LOL

Only 44 years. started with a hand scrollsaw. I'm on my third saw can't remember when I bought my first saw sorry.

  I started back in school, bought a little coping saw then a jig saw . Making lawn ornaments have just kept improving and learn new methods .Then upgradeing 

 So a total of 43 years , There was like 7 years I was serving my country I did not do any woodworking well maybe a tiny bit here and there.

   The thing with scrolling when you think you have try or seen ever way to use a scroll saw someone comes up with a new ideal .

Started 35 years ago and three machines later I'm still going strong. Still selling my work to keep the wolf from the door!!!!

I started scrolling in 1994 cutting shapes for my wife to paint and then more of the fret work after I buried her in blanks. I started with a 13 inch craftman then quickly moved to a 16" craftman and then in '96 or '97 upgraded to the DeWalt 788 (type one).
