Lorn.S
Hi to everyone from the UK...I'm Lorn and I make dust in God's Own Country aka Yorkshire), I am Scottish by birth and Yorkshire by choice. My husband is a Yorkshire lad with an enduring passion for all forms of working with wood...after watching him doing some cutting with his scroll saw I asked if I could give it a try...and that was it...I was hooked...we bought an Axminster (similar to the Hegner) and after buying a selection of FD blades from Mike I have spent many happy hours making lot's of dust... We moved home last November and with the lousy winter and spring it has taken longer than hoped to get our new workshop built up so I have been suffering from scrolling withdrawl syndrome, with the advent of what we optimistically call summer here we put up our bungalow tent in the garden and set up the workmate and scroll saw in it...ahhhh sheer BLISS!!!. The workshop is now built and awaiting a dry day or 2 so we can felt the roof BUT I can now get the scroll saw inside and spent a very pleasant few hours in there yesterday christening it with piles of dust... Still lot's to do in the workshop to set everything up and build the workbenches and storage but we are making progress and hopefully we will both be in there spreading dust and wood shavings around and making it feel like home... Hope to see a few familiar "faces" on here and meet many new ones too. Lorn Huntter2022 and bobscroll

keefie
Hi Lorn, welcome to the Village, glad you are getting over your "scrollsaw withdrawal symptoms" - it's one of the worst things you can suffer from. Keefie DonR, you will have to repost that picture in the Scrollsaw Workshop Community forum after changing the title to "The Scotsmans Creed" and say it's especially for Rob Roy - it describes him perfectly. lol.
