sullyscroller
Ok freinds i need your prayers. The social security admin. has decided to stop my disability payments after 3 years and i have to file an appeal to fight it. This means that i'll have to get a lawyer yuck. If i lose my disability it will mean that i'll have to go back to work and i don't know if i'm able to do that physically. Here at home and doing shows i can set my pace and decide when i've got to take a break, can't do that with a job.I may also have to give up scrolling if i have to go back to work. For all i know it may put me in the grave as well. Please pray that God will work in this situation to bless my wife and i and get us thru this ordeal. I'm not worried but i am very concerned for our future and quality of life. Bless each of you and your families. sully

MrsN
A good attorney is a wonderful thing. We have a wonderful one from going through some custody issues with my step-son, and I know the difference they can make. I wish you the best, I hope you don't have to go back to work. wombatie
You are certainly in my thoughts and prayers Sully. It never ceases to amaze me that people who can get a job wont but they can get cigarettes and drugs and they don't seem to do a thing about them, but the good honest people that are on disability are on it for a reason why should they keep reviewing their circumstances. Just makes me angry. Best of luck Sully Marg
multitom
Sully, I am not sure I understand the system there but one thing is clear something is seriously wrong in that Social security's eleigiblity criteria. Our prayers are with you and God is with you . Like Marg said many of the things which they should be stopping are being ignored and genuine cases are being made to suffer. Very hard to swallow the rules.
Fab4
Hi Sully: Social Security Administration. First three letters backwards and add ES at the end - If you want put JACK in front of it That's the type of people you have to deal with in these situations Good luck my friend - It will all work out - Fab4
keefie
Fab4, what have "Jackasses" done to upset you ???? why insult them so badly comparing them to the Social Security workers!!! lol Edited August 5, 2013 by keefie Fab4
Kepy
Sully, my thoughts are with you. It is a shame that people who deserve the help have trouble getting it while others seem to have no problem. My younger sister who had worked her entire life developed MS and couldn't work but never was able to receive SS after 10 yrs of trying until she died. When I had my craft business, about half of my customers were on disability and a lot of them were in better shape than I was.
artmill
Just because you are on ss disability does not mean you cannot work. You can work but there is a limit as to how much you can make. My wife is on ss disability unfortunately she cannot work. A friend of mine was also on it and he made too much and had his benefits pulled. Get a good local ss attorney and you will be fine. If you qualified before you should again. Good luck.

Lucky2
Hang in there Sully, it's a tough battle, but with the Lords grace you will be alright. I was in the same situation three years ago as you are now, it all worked out fine for me. Granted we live in two different countries, but, there has to be some sort of similarity in the rwo systems. It took a few phone calls, and a lot explaining things out to the people handling my claim. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to get one of these people to understand, what I was trying to explain. From that point on that person took over my claim, and looked after everything. It was so nice to get the phone call that told me everything was settled, and that they were very sorry for putting me through such a stressful ordeal. This wasn't the only good news that I recieved from them either. It turns out that I didn't file for disability when I was eligable to do so, they discovered this through their investigation. Man was it nice to get the rest of the news that they had for me, you see I had to go for about 4-5 months to get everything settled, so they owed me back pay for those months. The best news was that I was reinstated for life, and that they also owed me for the two years that I had missed out on claiming later than I had to. Hopefully, you'll get your claim settled fairly easy, and to your satisfaction. You will be in our prayers, take care.<br />Len Huntter2022
