Travis
That is really cool. Did you use a jewler's blade, or was it just a regular scroll saw blade? You did a nice job on it. I'd need a magnifier too. Nicely done!
nanalee
whew!! this must have been hard to do.. I'd need more than a magnifier.. thank you for sharing with us
shadylady0447
That is too funny, David! Love the pipe and smoke! Neat idea. It looks hard because its so small. I would need a BIG magnifying glass to do that! LOL
Christina
Way cool cutting David.........love the pipe and smoke lol. How in the world did you manage to cut something sooo small without a magnifier?! Thanks so much for sharing it with us. Christina
Huntter2022
It was cut with a regular sprial blade . I made a jig to hold it . Will get a picture of it today and post it this evening . For those that would like to cut one or 2 or more or even the quarters it could be used for David
Travis
That's great! I'd love to see the jig. I remember people use to cut out buffalo nickles. Those were always neat. Next time you decide to cut a coin, could you take some pictures and put together a mini-tutorial in the Works In Progress/Tutorials section? I think a lot of people would really get a kick out of that! I know I really haven't run across much info on that.
Huntter2022
This was made from a 3/4"x4"x4" pine Drilling a 3/8" hole in the center setting saw at 30 degrees cut bevel cut the piece out Then cut it in half Very simple jig takes little time to get use too but can be made from a smaller piece of 3/4" wood .This also can be used for cutting other coins David
Barry5180
Very cool David. I too would need a very large magnifier to do a cutting that small. At least you didn't start with a dime..LOL How long did it take to cut the penny? Barry
Vector01
Nice work! I'm like Barry...Couldn't see that without the Hubble telescope
Bzern
That's neat, I wanted to cut some quarters, didn't even think about cutting pennies, I figured that they were to small, but this changes my mind. Thanks for sharing. Ben
