Gimp or Inkscape

I have been using gimp program for about 2 years now. I have just downloaded inkscape to see how it works, and its got me thinking. How many of you scrollers prefer gimp to inkscape and vice versa. Just intrested to know.

Hi there, Well I've only been using Inkscape, So can't say about Gimp, I keep saying

to myself I will try Gimp one day, I'm afraid I seem to stick with what I'm used to, I need

to try Gimp I think, Bob

GIMP and Inkscape are very different programs with different functions.  I generally use GIMP for portrait style patterns.  I use Inkscape for everything else.

I primarily use gimp but do use inkscape for doing bitmap copys and other things. both are good and FREE

Those are the 2 programs that I use, primarily because they were FREE, I am a tightwad.

It is very easy to draw outlines in a pattern using Inkscape.

How to do that with Gimp?
