Glue

Bearing in mind I'm in the UK, can anyone tell me the best glue for sticking card to wood, it needs to dry clear so as not to show through the internal cuts, but strong enough to be a permanent fix, I've tried various wood glues but find that some areas lift and need re glueing, what do you use ?

Hey Doc. I only ever use 'Quick Mount' spray glue. Check the link below - you can usually get it a little cheaper if you look around. You need to shake it well, and only use a small amount. I'm not sure what the cheaper versions are like, but I've always been happy with the good stuff. I use it for mounting patterns to wood, as well as card backer plates. (Although small amounts of PVA are fine on card, if the card is pretty thick).#

i have that problem too and I think I need to place something on top till it drys for a good bond.I never thought more about the problem till you had it and made me think more THANKS

Doc I use Hobby Craft own make they sell re-positional I use to stick patterns and permanent spray glue to stick ply to ply etc.

No! just popped over to see it.  GOOD TIP, seen people use that for attaching patterns as well.
