Phantom Scroller Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Hi All. Today I was told by my son that his new baby and my first grandchild which is due in Februrary is going to be a GIRL. So I'm looking for suggestions on things to make for a baby girl and also for when she gets older girlie things to make. It would be a help for all you Gramps and Grans out there to let me know what you have already done and I'll make a list as they come in, so thanks in advance for some much needed help. Happy Roly. keefie Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Congratulations Roly, if you look at Grampa (Paul's) patterns he has two suitable ones, There is a baby with a toy rabbit (which I just made ) and there is a baby sleeping in hands which also has the words "you are my everything" both of these would look nice with a pink card backer. just an idea for you. wombatie Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 CONGRATULATIONS Roly to you and your family. I have mainly made my granddaughter things to go on her wall. Things like Dora the Explorer, Dora's friends, fairies, Snow White etc. I also made her a car from Steve Good's Site (she likes cars) and Barbie table and chairs. I think thats most of it. heppnerguy Posted September 19, 2013 Report Posted September 19, 2013 There is a nice flying stork where a photo of the baby can be placed on intarsia.com It is a simple one to do and a fun one to have on the babies wall. I made one for one of my great grand daughters. Congratulations. You will enjoy her lot. Phantom Scroller 1 Quote
Travis Posted September 21, 2013 Report Posted September 21, 2013 Congrats! That's awesome. You can make some teether toys. Make them out of a hard wood like maple and finish them with a bees wax finish or leave plain. They're very popular on Etsy. You can find a bunch at Little Sapling Toys to give you some ideas.
