Brian, I agree with you I think a larger insert would look better, but that said it's still a fantastic looking clock even with the smaller insert. Either way she will love it.

Nice design and great execution. I like clocks too and I found a 4 1/2 inch clock at a garage sale that I bought for $5. I will be making a clock with it too. I hope I can make one nearly as nice as yours. Thanks for sharing
