What's On Your Saw Right Now?

I'm just curious what everybody's working on? Do you have a project on the saw right now? Or are you regrouping for your next project?

I'm hoping to finish off this Raven designed by Sue (Shadylady0447). Stack cutting 3 pieces (2 BB and 1 Oak). I have most of the small areas cut, so its just a matter of finishing off the large areas, then finish. I have a frame already picked out for it. I can't wait to get it done.

mmmmm lets see, designer firewood. Since I started out using spiral blades I have been messing around with some flats, just trying to get the feel for them. I have to tell you, I am thinking of staying with my spirals, although I am not giving up on the flats just yet.

Getting ready to do a Guest Book for my nieces wedding in two weeks. The guest book is going to be a puzzle with there engagement picture cut in pieces aprox 2"x2". People will sign the back of the puzzle piece with what ever they want to say.

I promise to post pics of the puzzle when its done.

Well, let's see hehe...........a pair of scissors. I haven't cut anything since my computers broke down......couldn't print anything out. And the last few days my grandson has been visiting...........so between that and trying to catch up on some pattern requests I promised BEFORE my computer broke, I haven't done any cutting.

I have one planned, lol, but until I see if it's going to work or just become another fine piece of designer firewood I'd rather not talk about it!!! Wouldn't want to embarrass myself that way roflmbo!

Practice pieces. I'm working at reducing Victorian fretwork pieces to 1/12 [inch] and 1/24 [1/2 inch] scale to do some dollhouse miniature pieces. Garbage collection tomorrow will make more room for the pile that didn't make it. Working in those scales makes you very aware of your fingertips! Magic

Way cool Magic...........I would love to know how you reduce the size to that scale. I've always wanted to create my own miniature furniture patterns. I used to belong to a kit of the month club as a kid. All the pieces came pre-cut and you sanded and glued them together and finished them. They were all reproductions of antique furniture and it was soooo much fun. I hope you will share your work with us when you get them finished!

I have bits of tape and paper I pulled off all the red gum key names I finished using Steve Good's program. To make them different I scanned some of the patterns back in and changed the font. The plan is to use then instead of name tags on all x-mas gifts this year.

Next is a picture of a church organ a dear old lady asked for.... her son used to play this organ at a local church. Talk about challenge! Lost of little thin straight lines.......

Hi all

Not much on the scrollsaw right now but am gearing up to start a commission to build new shelving and cabinets for a clients walk-in closets.I ordered 575 bf of Brazilian cherry from Wall Lumber and have made room in the shop to store it. This project should keep me busy for about 5 weeks. The same client then wants me to do an intarsia of a 1968 Porsche 911.We're having fun now !!!

I put the fallen hero intarsia aside and started working on a project that I forgot about. It is an 1866 carbine intarsia piece. Its been started for several months, just got busy and forgot about it. I've got a couple intarsia projects cut out just need to start putting them, So I decided to get it finished before I start something new.

Still working on the crafts for the Pioneer Days. This only comes around once a year so have to have plenty to go around. By the way...will be my first one of these. Today I designed a few patterns to cut for the festival using CorelDraw X4 and I'm starting to pick up my pace with the program. Also, Steve Good is a big help on this program.

Yep, I cut a couple of those keychain-a-ma-jigs also on my Hitachi CW40. Not bragging, just jealous of the EX21. Not really. I like my Hitachi. I bought mine at Lowe's and purchased the extended 1 year warranty. I wonder how many new replacements I can get throughout the year? Depends on the need.

Happy cutting everyone!

Wow sounds like some great projects are being done! Remember to take pics and share everyone...........we do so love to see the goodies!

LOL Donnie you sound like me! I have actually printed some patterns out and they're next to my scroll saw lol. Now I just have to get enough ooomph to try sitting in that dang chair long enough to do some cutting. It kills my back and hips........gotta get me a new chair!

Thanks for participating in this thread everyone and have a great day!
