keefie
Well I just finished my Harry Potter portrait. It is made from 4mm Birch Ply and finished in BLO/Thinners then a coat of Lacquer. It's a new can of lacquer in a High Velocity Low Pressure can with an adjustable spray pattern to the nozzle. The Hvlp means I get more spray on the project with less overspray, and I'm finding it only needs 1 coat instead of 2 or 3 from the old cans so it lasts a lot longer. keefie
Great do they have now hvlp in cans are you saying?Who carrys them ,thanks Hi Kevin, I get mine from Mark Raby. He is a finishing demonstrator and I bought a load of cans from him at a demonstration. I don't know where his supplier is and I haven't seen the cans sold in our local shops, but his email address is markraby1@btinternet.com drop him an email and he might be able to tell you where you can get it over the other side of the big pond. keefie
Nicely done Keith. Did you make the frame also? No, I cheated, they sell them in Wilkinsons for £1.89 each - cheaper than I could make them for.
