keefie
One of the members of my woodturning club was asked to make a cross for Truro Cathedral, it is to be presented to The Archbishop of Canterbury on his visit this month. The emblem for Truro Cathedral is a Lilly and Crook. I was sent a picture of it and asked to make one 9" tall to be mounted on the cross when it was made. Here is what I came up with. It's all made from 4mm birch ply and the crook is stained with a mahogony colour stain. the lilly is left natural and all finished with 1 coat of lacquer. hope you like it. Keefie.
