Fish
I can angle my table to 45 degrees on my 788 but the bottom arm hits the under side of the table making it impossible. Any ideas or ways to fix it?
Phantom Scroller
Dan I know nothing about the 788 so can't help there but I know the EX-21 Excalibur Table stays put and is great to angle and put back with ease no more struggling on angles. WolfmoonCT
I've never gone that far over on mine. Most I usually do is 3.5 - 4 degrees. I did do 22 degrees at one point, but never 45.
MrsN
Can you cut the other 45? one of my saws has a table that tilts more one way then the other.
amazingkevin
ok I tilted my dewalt type 1 both ways and didn't see anything that would be a problem.is your saw used where it could have under gone some miss repair or assembly? Fish
It will hit the bottom either way. I don't know if there was ever any repair work done I bought it second hand. It is a type one though so it was supposed to be the better saw. Thanks everybody.
bandaideman
just a thought did you measure the angle with a battery angle thing of a jig. I have done that and found the angle on the machine is not necessarily the actual angle. I did do 45 degree on the dewalt do not remember the outcome but did think sandit hit like yours. as with other I don't usually to 45's but if I need that I usually do that on the sander if small piece or saw if larger wood
amazingkevin
mine has a blade tighten modification on the top blade tightening screw .a simple one ,just a bottle cap glued over it to permit easyer turning and it hits before I get to 45 a little but yours is on the bottom of the saw.????cant help you BUT a picture is worth a thousand words and someone will see the problem immediately.show the saw I several positions and angles .Will solve the problem for you. Fish
It is the bottom tightening screw that is hitting the table. ( Right side down ) amazingkevin

bobis62
If you really need to tilt on that side swap the set screw and thumb screw.
Fish
It will work that way, thanks.
