Docupton
Just got back from a craft fair in Rugby, made a few small sales early on then almost nothing for 5 hours, a final flurry of people at the end boosted my sales so that I at least covered the cost of my stall, I will never get rich like this but the little profit I did make paid for a very nice and welcome dinner. wombatie, Huntter2022 and vendefwrife

Clozy
I feel for you Doc. I did two craft markets over the weekend, the early Saturday morning market was a flop, I spent more money on coffee there then what I made in sales, (coffee may still bankrupt me yet) but did get three orders which I hope to have ready before next weekend, so it was not a total loss. and in the afternoon the wind came up and nearly blew us away at the second market, I did at least cover stall costs there, and then when we were packing up the late afternoon the organizers refunded our stall costs in lew of wind we had to put up with, which was a first for me. Have not made my first million yet but working hard at getting it How does the saying go "Another day another dollar million days millionaire" Les. amazingkevin
amazingkevin
my first show 9 vendors were there ,beads jewelry, custom hand painted tee shirts that were out of this world great, baskets etc,i was the only one that sold anything and I think it was 90 bucks ,I was giving away trivial things to keep my spirit up before the sakes zoomed in.Most at the end of the show .15bucks entry fee at a park.bad thing there was no advertisement of the show. edward
I know the feeling on craft shows, I did one on Saturday, and there were a lot of people there, and I was the only scroller, but plenty of woodworkers. Sales weren't great but at least I made over the table fees. At slow times I would walk and see how other people were doing, some were good and some weren't. I sat there three hours before anyone bought a thing, plenty of lookers and walk on byers. Gotta take the good with the bad. edward
Jim Finn
My last sale was very good and I have another next Saturday and expect even better sales there. In my experience I have to keep 90% of my items offered for sale at a price under $25. There are some things I make that I will not make to sell at that price so I just make one or two of them and rely on the cheaper items to fund my hobby. I have folks stand in front of my booth and say to their spouse,"Find one you like". (Un-said is " at these prices it is a good deal")
