Do you know what this is and is used for?

of course ! This a symbol learning deviceused as  an aid for learning math. When viewed at an angle where only on leg of it is on the ground and viewed from the end grain, it represents a plus sign or indicates adding one number to another number. Example 3 + 4 = 7. when viewed with two of the legs on the ground and viewed again from the end grain it is a symbol for multiplying two numbers together. Example  3 x 4 = 12.  I can't believe you were able to fool anyone with that question. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for over looking the obvious. :razz:
