PaPa50707 Posted October 22, 2013 Report Posted October 22, 2013 This is a butterfly cage ornament I made over the weekend. We woodworkers appreciate the look of natural wood but I think John Q Public likes to see a little "bling" on things. This is why most of projects are painted. I use an airbrush with Createx paint; usually the pearl colors. Hope you like it. Quote
Barry5180 Posted October 22, 2013 Report Posted October 22, 2013 These are very cool and you did a nice job on them. Is this your pattern? Barry PaPa50707 1 Quote

heppnerguy Posted October 22, 2013 Report Posted October 22, 2013 I love it when someone comes up with origanal ideas like this one. The colors really make it stand out and be noticed. Quote
vykus Posted October 23, 2013 Report Posted October 23, 2013 what type of paint or stain did you use? I'm curious because as a new user of Baltic birch I am exploring different ways to stain or color it. I am working on a few ornaments as well and might go with colors on some rather than stain. Quote
