Dan
Finished Red Green today. Not a lot of cuts (I counted 100) but a couple of delicate spots. Still needs to be sanded and framed. Uses 4 FD-UR#1 blades. Took about 4 hours. I stacked 2 1/8" plys but the blade seemed pretty aggressive. Hope to make a frame this week. Thanks for looking. amazingkevin and bobscroll
heppnerguy
next time you have a delicate piece and want to slow the aggression of the blade, try a 1/2 inch support board, Then you can use a little bigger blade and still be the results you are after. At least is seems to work for me. I like being able to use a #3 double tooth reversiable blade on this type of cut because it does not flex as much as the smaller blades and it is not as agressive as the single tooth blades. You did a great job here. It truly has some delegate parts for sure. what kind of wood to you use on these portrait and delicate pieces ? Dan
Thanks Richard. I found that slowing down the blade speed gave me a little more control toward the end of this project. I use 1/8" Baltic birch ply.
DWSUDEKUM
Another thing you might wish to do is to take a sheet of 1/8 in acrylic plastic and make a table sized zero clearance insert. This will help with the hold your breath parts This one looks great, thanks for sharing it with us. DW

heppnerguy
one can also just put a piece of tape covering the blade/table hole and the small pieces will also be supported. Just another thought on the matter Dick heppneguy
Phantom Scroller
Dan very good work but wasted on me, I have no idea who he is, looks like someone out of the Beverley Hillbillies in the 70's. Roly
