amazingkevin Posted November 11, 2013 Report Posted November 11, 2013 (edited) THE CUSTOMER AT THE BIG BOX STORE PUT IN ANOTHER REQUEST. iT WAS FUNNY WATCHING A GROWN MAN DROOLING WHEN HE GOT EXACTLY WHAT HE WANTED.THE LAST GEM I MADE FOR HIM WAS TWO INCH LONG ,NOW HE WANTS ONE ONE INCH LONG.CAN YOU DO IT HE SAYS,YEAH BUT IT'S NOT GOING TO BE EASY.THIS TIME I WENT DOWN TO THE JEWELERS BLADE FROM MIKESWORKSHOP.COM AND USED RAPIDRESIZER TO SCALE DOWN THE IMAGE FOR ME.I GLUED THE PICTURE AND THE METAL ,LET GET TACKY AND PRESS TOGETHER.THEN I MADE A ZERO CLEARANCE HOLE ON THE DEWALT. BOY IS THIS DEWALT SHAKEY FOR BLADE WOBBLE BUT ONCE THE BLADE TOUCHS THE PROJECT TRY TO KEEP IT GOING TO CURE THAT PROBLEM.STARTING AND PULLING OUT AND RESTARTING IS NOT A GOOD IDEA WITH THE BLADE FLOPPING AROUND.IT'S TOUGH TO GET IT TO DIG IN RIGHT WHERE YOU WANT IT. tHE STOCK IS ALUMINUM 20 GA. OR THINNER.TOWARDS THE END OF THE PROJECT I HAD TO TAPE DOWN THE PIECE TO KEEP IT FROM GETTING AWAY FROM ME WHILE CUTTING. Edited November 11, 2013 by amazingkevin Birchbark 1 Quote
