Hi All:

 

Finally finished the gift for my grandson. This was definitely a challenging piece (for me anyway). I'm thinking of giving it a couple of coats of clear matte finish for protection. I've used this finish on my woodburnings with great results. Looking at it finished I'm thinking of keeping it for myself I told my wife I can always get him a new bat and glove

 

I have to give kudos to Travis for providing that excellent GIMP tutorial and the SSV members who offered those great suggestions. I have a few more on the burner I'm working on for future projects.

Great job on that pattern and cutting. I'm sure he will love it if you actually give it to him. Although, you can always cut another one for him.
