LarryEA
What is the common name for the uncut portion of a pattern that holds parts together? If you cut it, something would fall out. Somewhere I came up with "bridge" or "anchor point". Is that accurate or is there an official name?
Travis
In my design classes, I called it a bridge. I think most people would understand what you'e saying if you mention a bridge. This segment is covered in lesson 6 if you're looking for more detail/explaination. http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/articles.html/_/pattern-making/gimp/scroll-saw-portraits-using-gimp-l6-r31
