nice shops.  I love looking at everyones shop because I am getting ready to remodel my shop at the first of the year. and I can certainly use some ideas. I am not a very organized guy and i need all the help i can get. I picked up some with these photos.  you guys are great.   and Sparkey,  put on an insulated garage door and install a little wood stove and go out and scroll in the warmth this winter.

I live in an apartment and am lucky enough to have my own separate garage so I can work. The problem is that it is also used to store a lot of things that used to be in a basement that we no longer have. It is very cramped but the nice thing is that everything is in reach.

It's not always the size of shop that matters but how you utilize the space you have available that counts and like you said everything is within reach which I like the most.

Thanks Ron, of course like most of us, not all the tools I would like.

I'm blessed with the basics. Drill, planer, router, scroll saw and orbit sander.

This room would be big enough if the cedar chest, freezer, garden tools had somewhere

else to go. Also, this is storage for the wood I use the most...hah, the wood that has to stay.

Well this is my sanctum sanctorum As you can see it's a little wintry these days. This shop was here when we bought the property, but not near where we build our house. It's 24 X 30'. Although it seems big, I oftentimes must convert it to vehicle servicing and repair. My problem is I just can't figure how I want to set things up. They need to be fairly mobile so I can move them out of the way when necessary. Overall, I find it a great place to hang out, although in this weather it does take a while to warm up since there's only wood heat.
