Sparkey
I just wanted to let everybody know about my experience with Ocooch hardwoods. I ordered six different woods from them. When they came I had one that I didn't know what it was. It had no color and figured it had to be cherry or bloodwood. I called and talked to them on the phone and we figured it was cherry. I told him it was ok and he said he would send me one with color and keep the other one. I got the new cherry today and there were two and they are beautiful. Long story short they have great customer service and I know where I will be buying my wood from. wombatie, amazingkevin, Dave Monk and 1 other 3

browders
It's always nice to know about those places you would recommend. Kind of like our own Angie's List....without Angie. OCtoolguy, amazingkevin and danny

heppnerguy
It is so good that people pass on experiences like this to the rest of us. Thank you. I have purchased from them a couple of times too, but have not gotten anything I did not like. the shipping often eats up what seems like such a good deal but that is life. I am still searching for someone close to me where I can but some exotic wood without the shipping . maybe i will find that souce before too long.. Wilson's Woodworking
WOW just took a look at their products and they are about half the price I have been getting my exotic woods for thru a place in Omaha with the shipping figured in. I will defiantly be putting an order in to these guys real soon. Thanks for the info.
jrpeteo
I ordered a bunch of different woods one time and the purple heart had some kind of mark on one end. After my call, more arrived in a couple days, no charge. Great to work with. Pete

Wilson's Woodworking
I worked up an order last night for an intarsia project I want to make. Now I will be sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for it to get here. Of course I had to throw in a couple of pieces of really cool wood that I don’t really need right now but just had to get so I can find a project for them

Wilson's Woodworking
I got my order in today and the cherry was short by 2 feet (ordered 4’ and they shipped me 2’) so I gave them a call. They were very apologetic and said they would get some sent out right away. Very nice people to work with. Not to mention the wood I received looks fantastic! Spur
I hate to revive a dead thread but Google will direct to here if one googles "Ocooch Hardwood." I wanted to let people know that I have ordered from them twice in the last two months. Both times the wood impressed me and their customer service is still top notch, despite 11 years or so since the last post here. Placed many orders for project ready wood but have not had good luck with the exotics. Canarywood, Cherry, Wenge and especially Padauk always come cupped right out of the stack. I tried the stickers, re-moistened with weight but no luck. They have sent replacements n/c on some but they aren't much better. Guess I'll just stick to my Baltic birch plywood since I don't make anything special anyway. Good Luck! OCtoolguy

Dick heppnerguy Here on the west coast I like Cherokee wood products. Talk to Chris. He runs their online business and they specialize in scroll woods. Their shipping is as good as it gets.
