nrscroller
HI all My son Eric made me this riser for my stool, so I can sit and saw now. I added some runners to raise it just abit, but it is great Bill

oldhudson
Until you get used to it, be cautious getting off the stool/riser after a long stint at the saw. It's easy to forget it's there and and the first step could be a dousey. I use a 4 x 4 riser when working at the table saw and have forgotten I was on it and took a step. I have a very similar stool and the same issue. So I bought a pretty nice stool recently (from Northern Hydralic) that goes up and down about 6" and swivels. Has a nice back and foot rest all around. Phantom Scroller
I use something similar to stand on when I do dovetails on my jig to get above the wood and look down on it. good idea. Roly
