tracyguy Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 Hi all. I was wondering does anybody have plans or know where I can get plans to make a jig? To turn a hand held electric plane upside down and make it into a surface planer. I was going to buy one then I thought of my planer sitting doing nothing. I have seen something like it before but cannot remember where I seen it. Thanks for all your help Martin Quote

Fish Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 I don't know of anywhere but if you can do it with a router surely there's a plan for it somewhere. Quote

oldhudson Posted January 4, 2014 Report Posted January 4, 2014 I don't know if this is what you are looking for but this guy is using a hand held planer and a belt sander. I think they are simply held in a bench vice. Quote

tracyguy Posted January 4, 2014 Author Report Posted January 4, 2014 yeah pro scoller i was thinking of something more safer than just clamping the planer in a vice, but I like the idea. Thanks for posting Martin Quote
