KnSMorgan-1
Hi. I'm brand new to scroll sawing. I'm working on nameplates right now. Where can I find free scroll fonts to download off the internet? Thank you. Keith
Travis
Hi Kieth. Welcome to the Village! We're glad you found us. I have a nice post in Scroll Saw Goodies I posted last year with a nice selection of font sites. You can check them out here. I've been a pretty big fan of DaFont too. They have a nice selection with an easy interface. Easy to browse to find the font you're looking for. I hope this helps.
c_lang
Another way you can do nameplates is with the scrollsaw name printer. I can't remember the exact name or site to get it from, but I'm sure someone here does. It's an easy way to do name plates. Or I think so anyways. And a great thing about it is it's FREE!!!! wombatie
I think the site you are thinking of is Steve Good's Scrollsaw Workshop. I think the address is www.scrollsawworkshop.com Marg
Barry5180
Marg, your address was off just slightly. This is the correct address http://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/ Steve has some really nice stuff online, and the best part is that it's mostly free. Keith, many regular fonts are suitable for use as scrolling with only minimal modification. Usually the only thing needed is to open up the closed letters for use. Travis
You might get a kick out of this tutorial using Inkscape. Pretty much any font will work here.
