WolfmoonCT Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 Been a sick lately, and the garage is just too cold to cut anything. When it's 6 degrees out, the garage is only 38 degrees. I just can't see spending a ton of money on kerosene to heat it during the winter. I'm hoping I can start getting back out there middle of March.. Quote
rjR Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 I know the feeling; used to have only a tin shed in ND! to work in. Worked some with insulated gloves and coveralls! Just not a good type of situation. Eventually spring will arrive. Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 Hi Kris good to know your up and running, well not running but up and around the house at least you calling in to let us know your still ticking. Your right it appears where ever you are the weather is atrocious, so roll on nice spring sunshine. Look after yourself God Bless. Roly Quote
keefie Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 Glad you are better, keep warm till the weather picks up. Quote
ChelCass Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 Glad to hear you are starting to feel better. If is possible to room off a section of you garage enough to scroll in and insulate it and then heat just that area?? Quote
thatknobtony Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 I have hung plastic across the rafters then draped more half way down the garage and can get it nice and cozy. I use propane to heat so I still have to crack open a window but that's okay. Quote
Ron Johnson Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 Hi Kris You need to section a portion as a workshop, insulate and use a portable electric heater. My shop is 8 x 12, well insulated and kept at room temp. during winter months. I'm able to work in there in -40 and more weather. During the summer it stays cool. amazingkevin 1 Quote
