DonR Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 I cut this one a few days ago from a pattern I made for a fellow scroller/dog lover. It has about 155 holes, stack cut from 1/8 inch BB using FD #1 Spirals with flat ends. Took about 3 hours to cut. Finished with MinWax spray poly, satin. The frame is a Dollar store made in USA special. Don R amazingkevin, bobscroll, Birchbark and 3 others 6 Quote

browders Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 I really like that. As a youngster I spent many a day duck hunting with my father. We never had a dog, but loved to watch those with dogs work them. Great looking cut. Quote
LarryEA Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 Very nice. I like the way the colors are coordinated too. Hey and that is almost one cut a minute. Larry Quote
DonR Posted January 17, 2014 Author Report Posted January 17, 2014 Jesse, Most of what I do is portraits and I use spirals almost exclusively. I love Flying Dutchman spirals from Mikes Workshop. Don R Quote

heppnerguy Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 an a mazingly well cut piece. It looks so fresh and pleasing to the eye. It almost brings out the personality of the dog in the portrait. Dick heppnerguy Quote

DonR Posted January 18, 2014 Author Report Posted January 18, 2014 My wife just came up with a good use for it. We are going to donate it and another dog I cut to the local no-kill dog shelter so hopefully they can sell it in their store and make a few bucks. Don R Quote

penquin Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 Don, nicely done, great pattern and cutting. Seems we see a bunch of your pattern work but not much of what you cut. This is one good looking job of both. Thanks for taking the time to post and share it with us. jim penquin Quote
