Problems being able to view some Downloads.?.

I had this problem last year and was able to do SOMETHING that fixed it, but  CAN'T remember what it was....Help?

 

When I go to my Download file and Double click to open a file all I get that pops up is a PAGE full of Letters.

 

Not all files will do this.  Most will open Perfectly. 

 

I hope someone out there recognizes what I am referring to.

Can you give us an example of one of the fikes you are trying to open?

Howdy Dan....Just went thru all the Downloads and seems only 3 have the problem and will not open.  All three are in Properties php files.

Howdy All....  Well I have read and followed instructions and put IE as the File Opener.  Opens fine now.
