Hi Richard,

I do hope that you get back into scrolling. I am sorry about you losing your father. I too lost my father a number of years ago. Have something to do that both of you were into is a nice way to celebrate his life with you. Your father would be happy to know that you are pursuing the hobby you enjoying doing together. I am glad that you found this website and hope you come here often. My suggestion would be that you explore everything on the 'forum', then respond to the previous posts. By doing so you will get to know the regulars here and quickly feel that you are part of this world wide family of scrollers. Everyone has something to offer and many do so on a regular basis. Be sure and ask any questions that you may have. be sure and check out all the free patterns here and you will not be short of something to cut.

Richard, you said that you hoped you would make some friends here and I can assure you if you sign in often and participate often, you will have more new friends than you can imagine. I, personally coorispond with several of the people here on The Village and enjoy the  new relationships that I have come to enjoy just because of being here

There are several Texans on board here too. So sit back, sign in, post and enjoy getting to know everyone, that way we too benefit by knowing you

Hi Richard,

Welcome to the forum. This is a great place to celebrate a diversity of ideas about scrolling. Sorry for your loss, I understand. My parents have both died and moving on can be difficult. The truth is that your continuation of a hobby that both of you shared is a wonderful memorial. Thanks so much for joining.

Hello Richard, welcome to the Village.  I am Marg from Australia.  I am so sorry for your loss.  Your father would be pleased to hear that you are getting back into scrolling because it was something you did together.  We are a friendly bunch here, so as long as you join in you will soon get to know us.
