tracyguy
My air feed on my saw has not been working for ages. I am planning on getting myself a fish tank pump as I have just had an operation on my nose and throat and I cant use my saw because of the dust. My question is to all you scrollers. What size of pump should I buy? I have a small one but it doesn't move the dust away. Any help would be very helpful Thanks Martin
ike
on my old craftsman saw I had a small air pump on it and it worked well but I couldn't get to work thru the air nozzle. IU had to run a line to the work directly from the air pump. I ran it that way for years on me.
LarryEA
I don't have an answer but that begs a question. " Why are vacuums not used? " An air hose just distributes the dust. A vacuum eliminates most of it. Just an oddball question. Larry amazingkevin, sullyscroller and Bendita
sullyscroller
Only thing about a vacuum vs a air pump is the noise issue. Vacuums are inherently much louder than a air pump from an aquarium. also the main reason for any pump is to keep dust off the pattern making the blade and lines visible. Just my 3 cents worth due to the cost of living increase. LOL sully

Ron Johnson
Good morning Martin Check out seyco.com. They have a small scroll saw vacuum available. Very quiet and uses very little power. You may be able to adapt to your saw. The other suggestion is a good dust mask.
