cheeseburger Posted February 28, 2014 Report Share Posted February 28, 2014 This is what prompted me to finally buy a saw, A friend asked me to make 4 plaques to mount deer antlers 2these are the 4 after they were cut and Burnt. waiting on acrylic to dry now. cheeseburger Posted February 28, 2014 Author Report Share Posted February 28, 2014 (edited) These are just the blank plates that the rack (antlers) are mounted to. two holes are drilled in the baseplate (top of the skull) and the rack is mounted to the backing plate with wood screws. then the top of the skull is covered in Leather, or vinyl. etc... then it is hung on the wall. Another person is doing the mounting i was just asked to make the mounts because he wanted something different. two are for my friend, 1 for his girlfriend, 1 for his other buddy. Roly Understood, It's not super common here either as far as I know, Mostly just whole head mounting.. i'm not a hunter, so idk, But this job will pay for the saw..
