These are my latest attempts at spiral shells.   Both made with Marine Ply Wood, the smaller one is just under 3" diam and had 42 segments and has 4 spirals.    I cut the wedges for the larger shell with the grain up and got a completely different effect.

:) So meticulously done !f it could have been done better ,nature would have done it.these shells in a craft show would cause a crowd of on lookers in amazement ! the joy of completing one of these treasures and standing back in awe at the outcome is pure exxxstasy :)

Real  nice looking shells there. You have a lot of talent and patience. I should try one using a good grade of plywood and those stands are great too. I made a stand for mine out of a bowl that I cut out that did not turn out  so I used it for the stand. turned out nice. Have a great day   Fay
