lilmike Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 I finally got the Elephant portrait framed! I used Clear Poplar for the frame and cut out the bottom to look like grass.. amazingkevin 1 Quote

spirithorse Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 Nice frame job and great cutting on the portrait. I'm not a fan of the grass addition but, I give you an A+ for creativity. Not meant to sound offensive or rude or opinionated; just my thoughts. God Bless! Spirithorse Quote

ubgoofy2003 Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 Way to go, Mike. Looks great. The frame gives me an idea for framing a portrait next time. I think you have the work piece glued to the backer board & is not fastened to the frame the conventional way. Am I right or all wet ?? I like it & will definetly try one. I usually just put a foam sheet for backers on some of my portraits & set the picture into the frame. Thanks for sharing your idea. I like the grass idea. Take Care Quote
