Travis
Hi Tom. Welcome to the Village. I'm glad you found us. We'd love to see some of your work. You can set up a User Gallery (you can find a [tut]tutorial here[/tut]) and show off a little. We love seeing other people's work. Its very inspiring. I'm glad to hear you're apart of a scrolling club. I think it would be a lot of fun to meet scrollers face to face and share ideas. We actually have a wiki page on your group. You can find it here. We don't have a lot of information yet, so if you know anything we can add, we'd greatly appreciate it. You can either edit the wiki yourself, or post it in this thread and I'll update the page for you. I don't mean to put you to work so quickly...LOL. I was just excited to hear about a Tri-County Scrollers member. Anyway, we're glad to have you on board. Jump in and have some fun!
woodworkingstar1
Thanks for the welcome. You have pretty much all the essential info on the club. The only addition is that the club has a space at the Annville Antique Depot in Annville, Pa. where they are able to display their work and offer it for sale. It just got started and is drawing some attention. We are working on projects for Christmas for display. The club also demonstrates in Reading, Pa at a place called Google Works where every Sunday various artists and craftsman demonstrate their talents to the public. Our group demos every second Sunday. Another big event for us is helping at the Childrens Miracle network Fair at Hershey, Pa where we donate projects for sale and demonstrate with about four saws the cutting of various animals and toys which we randomly give to kids passing through the fair. It is an exciting group and only works well because of the dedication and friendly ness of the members. I also provide demos at the Woodcraft store in Harrisburg during special promotions and sometimes on a Sat. to help promote the classes. It seems to work and generate interest which in turn creates more students. Ok, I don't want to blow the horn too much but you did ask for info on the group. tom
