heppnerguy
I like the originality here. I have never seen this done before. Great idea, fun view Dick hepperguy
Multifasited
Kevin ,It's done Just like the elephant the owl and the bears only each letter is cut at a slight angle 1-2 1/2 degree depending on thickness of stock and protrusion you want the center of the o and center of the p is positiond to, the height flush w/ the main piece and glued in that position the rest are glued in the raised position ,the neat thing is even if your cuts are not perfect they match perfectly to the main piece ,I used a stencil ,and as you can see the spaceing is off between the s-h ,but you can see that before you cut anything ,make sure angle of tilt and direction of cuts are faced the way you want the letters to face .or you will end up with a recessed sign ,and a raised backwards sign ,makes a neat sign .,and is easy to do . Multifasited
There you go! You can make goffy exagerated letters or figures and the match up pertectly ,you can see exactly what your going to get in the layout ,allows for use of imperfect wood ,good conection to main piece with out changes .Has a lot of advantages .I love it it's fun, easy& saves a lot of wood and extra steps ! You can change colors of indivual pieces any combination that don't bleed over or require masking or secondary steps !

heppnerguy
I did not realize that the letters were cut that way and it through me at first. Funny I did not realize that when I saw it. I guess the middle of the letter O and the middle of the letter P being in the position that it is in, is something I just did not realize one could do that way. I would have just looked for a different font. Good thing to learn. I will use this in the future sometimes. One never stops learning from others on the this sight.. Multifasited
Your right on the font ,I just took apiece of scrap and the first stencil that would halfway fit that scrap to see what it would loook like ,the concept was the goal to see how well it would work and what else I could do with it ,might make a real one now ! LarryEA
It's so simple, it's funny. After you explain it! Thanks for showing and telling us. Excellent way to approach using letters. Larry
