LarryEA
I happened to be in Manassas Virginia and went looking for cedar boards. Barrons Lumber had the best price. I bought three 1"x6"x 8' boards for $6.38 each. I thought it was a fair deal. Just checking to see what you all thought. No $$$$$ to buy any more. At leasr now I have some. Jim Finn
If it is eastern red cedar (aromatic) it is a good deal. I use a lot of it and pay $2.10/board foot for 1" x 8" or 6"
LarryEA
Jim, was that with shipping cost? Just curious since I Will be toting it back home myself.

heppnerguy
I searched a lot for the aromatic cedar, called Tennessee Cedar. The cost was $ 5.15 a board foot in Portland. I recently found some available at a small lumber yard about an hour from my house and paid $3.10. I was so happy to find it, after looking for some time. It is so pretty and I can get so much more for the money without having the high shipping cost that easily double the cost of getting wood shipped from other places I have found on the net. I feel lucky to even find some availability. Dick heppnerguy
Ron Johnson
Good morning Larry That is a steal of a price for where I am. The last time I had bought cedar were boards from an old barn torn down in B.C. at a dollar per foot. Mind you it was the best cedar I had ever seen.
