Becky
What do people use first, i want to paint white onto wood. I use gloss acrylic paints but the white looks patchy, How can I get a good finish?
Phantom Scroller
Becky I would use a wood sealer first or undercoat then a light sand than another coat and so on until your happy. I'm sure you will get more ideas. Roly
LarryEA
Roly tells it right. Spackle and fill in any holes then sand your wood, wipe down, apply a primer and let it dry thoroughly. Then, you are ready to paint! Tip: The kind of primer you use should match the kind of paint you use: latex primers go with latex paints, and oil-based primers go with oil-based paints. keefie, amazingkevin and Phantom Scroller
dansnow
I've had really great results with Krylon paint over Krylon Primer/sealer. 2 coats of primer, light sand with 320, wipe off e verything with tack rag, then light coats of color until I get the results I want.
